Roast Chicken
Instructions :
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Rinse the chicken with cold water, then pat it dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, mix the softened butter, olive oil, crushed garlic, lemon juice, paprika, dried thyme, salt, and pepper to form a paste.
- Place the chicken in a roasting dish and generously brush it with the spice paste over the entire surface, making sure to also coat the inside of the chicken cavity.
- If desired, you can add chopped vegetables around the chicken, such as carrots, potatoes, or onions to roast alongside.
- Place the dish in the oven and roast the chicken for about 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the size of the chicken. Cooking time may vary, so check the doneness by inserting a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the thigh. The internal temperature should reach 75°C (165°F)..
- Midway through cooking, baste the chicken with its cooking juices to keep it moist and give it a beautiful golden color.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before carving.
- Serve the roast chicken with the roasted vegetables and accompany it with sauces or side dishes of your choice.
