Mortadella Quiche
Instructions :
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Roll out the shortcrust or puff pastry in a pie dish previously buttered or lined with parchment paper.
- Prick the bottom of the pastry with a fork to prevent it from puffing up during baking.
- Arrange the slices of mortadella evenly on the bottom of the pie.
- In a bowl, beat the eggs. Add the heavy cream and milk, then mix well. Season with salt, pepper, and grated nutmeg (if desired).
- Pour the egg, cream, and milk mixture over the mortadella in the pie dish.
- Evenly sprinkle the grated cheese on top.
- Place the pie dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 to 35 minutes, or until the quiche is golden and the filling is set.
- Remove the quiche from the oven and let it cool slightly.
- Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top to add freshness and color (optional).
- Enjoy the mortadella quiche warm or at room temperature.
